about Avalon Arts

Avalon Arts, located in Benicia, California, is the working and teaching studio of Charlene McNally. In addition to painting, illustration, paper arts, and graphic design, Ms. McNally creates one-of-a-kind porcelain dolls, mostly in the fantasy realm. You may visit her Doll Studio here. Avalon Arts is also a studio for children which is what this web site is all about. Classes are offered in drawing, fine arts, crafts, and more. A Fairy Club is also offered regularly. This class fosters the imagination and fantasy world of the young child, so important to the creative life of the artist. Ms McNally has been teaching young children since 1980.

By the way Avalon, meaning "Isle of Apples", is the mythical land of the ancient Celts. Avalon is the place where this world and The Otherworld, the world of Fairy, meet ...and the place where art is born.
